Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 June 2026

Maker is in active development. It is provided as-is, may change or break at any time, and is offered with no guarantees. By using Maker you accept these terms in full.

1. Who we are

Maker ("Maker", "the app", "we", "us", or "our") is built and operated bySunny Joshi, an individual, based at WeWork, Marol, Mumbai 400072, India. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Maker. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the app.

2. The app is provided "as is"

Maker is offered strictly on an "as is" and "as available" basis, with no warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We do not warrant that the app will be reliable, accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for any particular purpose. You use Maker entirely at your own risk.

3. Closed source and ownership

Maker is closed source. All rights, title, and interest in and to the app — including its code, design, branding, and any related materials — belong solely to Sunny Joshi. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership, license, or rights to the app beyond a limited, personal, revocable permission to use it as provided.

You may not, in whole or in part:

  • copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code;
  • remove, obscure, or alter any branding or notices; or
  • use the app to build a competing product.

4. No responsibility, no liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we take no responsibility for anything arising from your use of Maker. This includes, without limitation, any loss of data, loss of work, lost profits, business interruption, damaged or broken projects, costs from third-party services, or any other direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — whether or not we were advised such damages were possible.

Maker writes and runs code, connects to third-party tools and AI services, and operates on your projects. You are fully responsible for reviewing, backing up, and verifying everything the app does. We are not responsible for outcomes, decisions, or output produced through the app.

5. Third-party services

Maker relies on third-party services and tools (including AI providers such as your own Claude account). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, behaviour, pricing, or any charges they apply to you.

6. Your responsibilities

  • You must use Maker lawfully and only for purposes you are permitted to.
  • You are responsible for anything you create, run, or publish with it.
  • You must maintain your own backups of your work.
  • You must not misuse, abuse, or attempt to disrupt the app.

7. Changes and availability

Because Maker is still in the works, we may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the app — or the app entirely — at any time, without notice and without liability. We may also update these Terms at any time; continued use of the app means you accept the updated Terms.

8. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to Maker at any time, for any reason, without notice. The sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will continue to apply.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in full effect.
